Because
of the integral nature of the GFWC Advancement Area Projects,
Communication & Identity, Fundraising, Leadership, Membership,
and
th Women's History and Resource Center, these areas are now recognized
as core Advancement areas of any successful program. Each of
these areas will have an "advancement" section in the 2010-2012 Club
Manual.
Public Affairs
is defined as the interrelationships between GFWC, its members, the
general public, and other entities, including the government. In this
guide, you will find ideas, resources, tools, and tips necessary for
promoting GFWC clubs, districts, states, regions, and the international
organization. It encompasses two GFWC Advancement areas: GFWC
Communications and Identity and GFWC Legislation and Public Policy.
It's purpose is to support club, district, state, and
national
communications and outreach efforts with ideas, resources, and tools,
for the purpose of promoting GFWC and the projects and initiatives of
GFWC, clubs, districts, and state federations.
The
purpose of Fundraising
is to upport club, district, state, and national fundraising
efforts with ideas, resources, and tools, which can generate non-dues
revenue to support the projects and initiatives of GFWC, clubs,
districts, and state federations.
The objective of
the Leadership
program is to support club, district, state, and national
leadership efforts with ideas, resources, and tools to assist all
members in developing their leadership skills.
The
GFWC Membership Advancement Guide supports clubs
with ideas, resources, and tools to ensure the
future of the
Federation by retaining and recruiting members, renewing Federation
pride, and building new
GFWC clubs.
The Women's
History and Resource Center promotes GFWC's history to
educate and inspire. |
