Bio:
I became a member of GFWC in December of 2012. Of course, I had felt like a member long before that, as I grew up with GFWC MA through my mom who had been a member since the mid 1980s. I became Education chairman for GFWC MA Marlborough Junior Woman’s Club right away, and my leadership journey grew from there. I joined the state board for GFWC MA Junior Membership in 2016 for Martha Casassa’s administration as Homelife chairman. It was an incredible experience and one that showed me what I was capable of accomplishing.
I was selected as the GFWC MA LEADS candidate in 2019 and attended my first National Convention in Austin Texas. It was truly humbling to meet so many amazing women from all around the country who were there to celebrate all the tremendous work done in so many communities.
One of my favorite projects from GFWC MJWC is our Teacher Appreciation letter writing contest. The club puts out a challenge to students in Marlborough and Hudson to write a letter of appreciation to a teacher that has inspired them. As Education chairman, I was able to read all of the heartfelt letters from students at all grade levels. As a club, we would honor one student and their teacher from the elementary level, middle school, and high school at our Junior Business meeting.
As a teacher myself for the last seventeen years, it is heartwarming to see students recognize the role their teachers have played in their lives. And as an educator I see the impact poverty can have on a child’s education. Which is why I have chosen the organization, Planting the Seed as my Director’s project. This organization gives out fully-stuffed backpacks at the beginning of the school year in Worcester and other central Massachusetts towns to students in need. They also put on massive toy drives each holiday season to help bring joy to children who may not otherwise receive any presents. Helping kids reach their true potential is something I have always been passionate about, and being able to help through my new role as Director of GFWC MA Junior Membership is an honor.

Bio:
I have been a member of the GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman’s Club for 20 years. I have held the positions of Ways and Means Chair several times, Financial Advisor, Treasurer, VP, and President. I began working at MIT in 1997, spending my career at MIT focused on the first-year experience and welcoming new students to campus. My goal each year is to motivate my staff to create new programs and opportunities for new students to interact with faculty and staff.
As a mother to three, I enjoy spending time with my family, particularly when it comes to playing board games or running around outside. When not hanging with the family or watching movies, you will find me reading anything I can get my hands on, though I do enjoy satire and autobiographies most of all. On the rare chance that the stars align just right, you can find me at the beach as I am a sun warrior at heart.

Bio:
I became a member of GFWC in 2017. I joined the club my mother was in after volunteering at a lot of their events. I thought "I'm already almost a part of it, might as well make it official." I was secretary of the GFWC Auburn Junior Woman's Club 2022-2024, and state chairman of Domestic Violence 2022-2024. I was chosen to be the Massachusetts LEADS candidate in 2024 in Chicago, which was my first national annual convention. The LEADS seminar really taught me that I was ready for my new leadership position as Secretary for Junior Clubs.
One of my favorite projects at my home club was working with CASA. The club filled duffle bags with necessities and comfort items for foster children. We received word from CASA later, that our gifts were very much appreciated and were so helpful to the kids going through so many scary changes.
I have learned so much from the leaders around me, in GFWC and can't wait to keep learning, and helping in my new role.

Bio:
My GFWC journey began in 1992 when a friend invited me to a GFWC Northboro Junior Woman’s Club meeting. I attended a January meeting and was immediately impressed by the dynamic women in the room and the work they were doing in the community. I joined GFWC NJWC in March 1992 and thirty-three years later, GFWC MA Clubwomen continue to amaze me with their generosity of time and talent to better their communities.
For the past ten years, GFWC NJWC has been mailing Valentines to Veterans. This is one of my favorite projects that our club organizes each year. We get a list of names from our local American Legion, arrange to have students create lovely hand-made valentines, fill each envelope with a few cards, and mail to the veterans. It is very touching to read the valentines the students write. It is clear they spend time writing and/or decorating each card. I am glad that our Club continues to acknowledge the service of our veterans with these thoughtful valentines. NJWC always receive several letters from veterans thanking the children for their cards and kindness. A simple project that makes a significant impact on the community.
I welcome this opportunity to represent GFWC MA Junior Membership as Treasurer for the 2024-2026 administration. Having previously served as Treasurer during the 2018-2020 and 2020-2022 administrations, I feel confident in providing this administration with current and accurate accounting records.
