The Junior Women's Club of Walpole will hold their 25th Annual Fashion Show on Thursday, April 4th at the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood. This event is co-sponsored by the Dedham Savings Bank and Middlesex Savings. Doors open at 6:30pm with tickets at $65.00 ~ Dinner, dancing, drinks, DJ, and raffles will make this "Come on Barbie! The GFWC Bay State Contemporary Club is holding a "Spring BINGO Mania" Membership BINGO event on Sunday, April 7th.

The Ousamequin Club presented Dr. Fred Dunford, BA, MA/PhD, from the Plimoth Patuxet Museum
Archeologist, Horticulture Lead and Public History Educator who spoke on The Role of the Wampanoag Women in the Pilgrim Gardens on Monday, March 4th @ 1:30 pm. All were welcome. Location: Cole-Yeaton Senior Center, 10 Wally Krueger Way, Bridgewater, MA There was no charge for this program. Donations for the Bridgewater Food Pantry, toiletries for ProjectPACK (both local organizations) or used books for More Than Words—are appreciated. There was be a short business meeting at 1 p.m. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Bridgewater Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. |

Club Events held in November/December 2023
The Junior Women's Club of Walpole held their 3rd Annual Walpole Festival of Trees event on December 2nd and 3rd at the Walpole Senior Center, 60 South Street in Walpole.
Raffle tickets were bought to bid on the tree(s) one wished to win. All trees were donated by local businesses, organizations and families. Admission was $5.00 for seniors, $10.00 for adults, with children free. All monies raised was donated to organizations that the JWCW supports. |
The GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman's Club held their Holiday Shopping Boutique on Wednesday, November 29th from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Marlborough Country Club.
This holiday fundraiser offered unique gifts for sale, a cash bar, light d'oeuvres, and many raffle prizes to take a chance on winning. The GFWC Greater Taunton Woman's Club held a Holiday Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, December 9th from 9:00am to 12:00 pm at the Winthrop Street Baptist Church, 39 Winthrop Street, Taunton.

The Needham Woman's Club hosted their Holiday Lights Tour from opening night on December 10th thru December 31st. Downloads were available for their House Tour routes to take in the festive lights and decorations of the homes and neighborhoods from the safety and comfort of your car. Tour voting began on December 10th and ended on December 31st.
The Holiday House Tour is the single largest fundraiser the club does all year. Proceeds from the tour help fund the financial donations the NWC provides to Needham community programs and organizations. |
Club Events held in November 2023
The Junior Women's Club of Walpole held their 10th Annual Red, White and Brew Tasting Event on Friday, November 3rd where a sampling of wine, beers and spirits was offered. Held at the Walpole Country Club at 333 Baker Street in Walpole ~ Tickets were $45.
Hosted by the JWCW and Walpole Wine and Spirits, proceeds will benefit Walpole Veterans and other club projects. |
The Westford Women’s Club was proud to be partnering with the League of Women Voters of Westford to bring Fredie Kay back to Westford to talk about the transition for Suffrage100MA to the virtual Massachusetts Women’s History Museum. The program on November 8th is free and was held at the Westford Museum. If you are able to attend please let Lynne Stader know.

The Millbury Women's Club held a Ladies Night Out 2023 on November 10th at the VFW Charles F. Minney Post #3 in Millbury, MA to see comedian, Kelly McFarland.
Kelly is an experienced stand-up comedian, with an extensive and well-rounded resume including comedy clubs, theaters, colleges, festivals, television appearances and entertaining US troops overseas. This fun evening with loads of laughter with their guest comedian, also featured some great raffles, refreshments, and cash bar. Tickets were $30.00 with limited space. |
The GFWC Dedham Junior Women's Club is hosting their 40th Annual Craft Fair on Saturday, November 18th from 9:00am-3:00pm at the Dedham Middle School, 70 Whiting Avenue, Dedham. Admission is $5.00.

The GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman's Club held their Community Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, October 22nd at the Campus at Marlborough.

The GFWC Greater Taunton Woman's Club was happy to sponsor their Soup Sampler & More fundraiser and community event on Saturday, October 21st at the Winthrop Street Baptist Church in Taunton.
Admission was $15 for adults and $7.00 for children. An exciting basket raffle was also held. |
The Needham Woman's Club held a Think Pink...and Party Like It's Your Birthday celebration on Wednesday, October 4th at the Needham Golf Club. Admission was $30.00 which included appetizers, one pink drink, and a raffle ticket.
Special guest was comedian, Jane Carroll. Proceeds will benefit the Needham Community Council's Birthday Bag Program. |
The GFWC Wilbraham Junior Women's Club held a successful Designer Bag BINGO event on Thursday, October 5th at the Gremio Lusitano Club, in Ludlow, MA. Tickets were $35 each or tables of 10 for $300.

Club Events held June through August 2023
The Millbury Women's Club hosted Dan (the Singing Trooper) and his wife Mary (a coloratura soprano) Clark on Friday, June 9th. The Millbury Women's Club partnered with the Millbury Public Schools to fund a Mental Health Awareness initiative in the schools in cooperation with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health) were supported.

The GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman's Club planned an outing to The Dinner Detective, a murder mystery dinner show on Saturday, August 12th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The show script on that night was "The Hollywood Hit."

The GFWC Agawam Junior Women's Club hosted a free family Touch a Truck event on Saturday, August 12th held at the Bethany Assembly of God parking lot in Agawam. Non-perishable foods were brought as an admission fee.
The LPVEC school bus was there for a First-Time Bus Rider opportunity where attendees boarded the bus and learned safe bus riding techniques. |

The GFWC Agawam Junior Women's Club was happy to host their Spring Fest II on Sunday, May 27th (the rain date) from 9:00am-3:00pm at the Agawam School Street Park. There were over 60 vendors, food trucks, raffles, games for kids, a live band and so much more!

The GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman's Club joined the Rotary Club and Lions Club at the Marlboro Family Fun Festival. They held a Mother's Day Raffle Baskets fundraiser.

The Millbury Women's Club hosted a Ladies Night Out with special guest author Hank Phillippi Ryan on Friday, April 14th at the Charles F. Minney Post #3, 16 S. Main Street in Millbury, MA.

Fashions featured were from Banana Republic and Mystyle Boutique. Dinner, drinks, DJ, and fabulous raffles added to the fun. They were so excited to host this event after missing the fun for the past 3 years.

GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman’s Club hosted their annual Metrowest Princess Boutique on Saturday, March 25, 2023. They provided gowns, shoes, jewelry, handbags and make-up to over 150 girls. It was a year-long event of preparation and several intense days of setup, event and breakdown.

The Millbury Women's Club held their annual Pancreatic Pansy Sale on Friday, March 31st at the VFW Charles F. Minney Post #3 in Millbury, MA to support the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance and groundbreaking pancreatic cancer research at UMass Medical School.
